Each term the Bookstore receives hundreds of telephone calls and emails requesting exact dates of annual promotions and notices. We hope this service saves everyone some time on voice mail systems. We will never send unwanted promotional emails nor will we ever rent, sell, or forward any email address.

Academic and Technical Book Sales
The UofA has one of the largest technical bookstores in Western Canada. Keep informed of the many sales, including all of the big Springer Verlag sales, that we hold throughout the year.

Clothing Sales
The Homecoming Sale, the Christmas Sale, and the Inventory Clearance Sale. With our email notification, you’ll never miss them!

Customer Appreciation Day
Each December we hold a storewide sale*. Take care of all your Christmas shopping! (*some restrictions apply)

Faculty Reminder Service
Receive reminders about suggested course adoption dates and overstock return dates.

General Book Sales
The Bookstore features sales on a variety of general books throughout the year.

Microstore Sales/Events
Receive news of special sales, customer demo days, and new product announcements.

Textbook Buyback
The Bookstore conducts two major textbook buybacks each year, in December and April. During these periods, we pay up to 50% of the new price of the book, even if you bought it used.
